Dr Neralich, I had laughed out loud many times throughout this post, particularly with the wrinkle lotion reference.

Japanese is going better, but learning Kanji is wretched. It took my friend and I around four hours to learn 20 Kanji last Sunday.

You should be pleased: I recently got accepted to be in the Asian Conversation next year, a year long course that includes going to China and Japan over interim (January term).

My friend leant me two books, one of which I definitely recommend because it refers a lot of the Japanese culture quirks you would mention in class, such as official drunkeness---Japanese Beyond Words-How to Walk and Talk Like a Native Speaker by Andrew Horvat. His class also read Dependency and Japanese Socialization: Psychoanalytic and Anthropological Investigations in Amae by Frank A Johnson. I haven't read this one yet, especially since the guy who gave it to me tells me the Freudian stuff is outdated.

I'm sure everyone looks forward to any future posts.

You should have procured a bottle of the Star Dust Lotion. I'm frankly surprised that your inner hippie didn't demand it.
