An Artful Moment: Claudio Bravo

For the sake of an aesthetically fruitful collaboration between eye and mind:

"Circe"

Claudio Bravo (1936 – 2011) was a Chilean painter who spent much of his creative life working in Tangier, Morocco. I am especially fond of the painting above – “Circe” – because it has both a startlingly lovely verisimilitude and a classical theme – not a surprising combination in the case of an artist who relished the light and culture of the Mediterranean.

"Bacanal"

"Dunas"
